Yes, I am fully aware that this is my second post in the past two days that involves sunflowers, but they really are beautiful. They do attract bees though… and I’m 99% sure I got stung in the rump. Ya just gotta “brush it off,” right bob and allison?

Maddie has been a dear friend throughout college and she has a heart of GOLD, people! The first time I met Doug was right after we – we meaning Texas Tech – beat A&M last year. Jordan and I were on the field and here come Maddie and this young man who appears to be an aggie……….

Well, let’s just say I now have the ability to look past a maroon exterior and see someone for who they really are :) I’m totally kidding. It wasn’t hard to like Doug at all. These two are perfect together and bring out the best in each other fo sho.

Thanks for a fun morning, you two! Don’t let all of your kids be aggies. kthanksbai :)

The day was beautiful. Definitely a summer day in August, but not too terribly hot :) And what’s even cooler (literally) is that right as Mary Helen’s dad walked her down the aisle, a cloud moved between us and the sun and it was nice and shady until the second the wedding was over. I love when stuff like that happens!

This wedding was truly a celebration for everyone – both Mary Helen and Timothy’s families have been friends for FOREVER, and I could tell that really becoming family was a pretty sweet reality for all of them.

This wedding is going to be so beautiful! Mary Helen and Timothy are getting married in a gorgeous backyard, and by the looks of their rehearsal, it seems like every single loved one will be there today to celebrate with them. Can’t wait!
