I met this sweet couple in Fort Worth last week. They came from Houston and I came from Lubbock – why oh why is Texas SO BIG!!

My good friend Keina gave Brittany and Tolu this session as a present – what a sweet friend, huh?! It was such a wonderful time with these two, even though it drizzled the whole time… But we definitely made lemonade with our lemons :)

Joe sent out a top secret e-mail back in January, telling the Morenas it was time to go ring shopping.

Sidenote: The Morenas are Tracy, Lindi, Amy and I. We took a trip to Mexico a couple years ago, and at the time, we were all brunettes – hence the name Morenas. Yep, we’re cool. We named ourselves :)

Well fast forward a couple months, and BADA BING! Or shall I say, BADA RING! Bahaha.

It was such a joy to shoot their engagement photos, because these two are SO in love and so adorable. And I’m super duper proud to say that I’ll be a bridesmaid in their wedding!! Yayyyyyy!

Another thing to get excited about… Tracy had an amazing idea for their save the dates, so once she sends those babies out, I’ll be sharing the goodness with you blogsters.

I love love love meeting new couples. Well, not new to each other (obviously), but new to me, by golly! In fact, these two have been together about six years – so fun!

We had a good time cruisin’ the Lubbock streets while getting to know each other better, too. All I’m sayin’ is that when you get on my blog in May, you might be seeing some SWEET dancing photos from their wedding. I was warned that Danny has some mad moves that are only brought out on special occasions :)

I have Texas Tech Med School to thank for these two.

Jessica is in med school, which requires A LOT of studying, which requires A LOT of caffeine. Remember that time I used to work at Starbucks? Yep, I made Jessica’s latte many a time, and I always enjoyed her bubbly personality and eagerness to begin her day.

It was so great to meet her fiance, Keeton, and to see how perfectly they fit each other. To top of the whole perfect fit thing… want to know something awesome and hilarious? They met on the Texas Tech meat judging team. How fantastic is that?! Since my husband was on the meat judging team for a year, I feel like I have the credibility to giggle at that :)

These two are a special pair. For many many reasons, but one for sure stuck out, and our conversation went something like this:

me: So do you think you guys will live in Lubbock after you’re married?

them: Well, we really hope to live in Africa.

Sweet.

So yes, we had some great conversation, lots of laughs, and they sure did make some purdy pictures.

These two were SO much fun! I’m already looking forward to their wedding next August – can’t wait!

I know Erin through the wonderful world of Starbucks. She’s the manager of one of the stores here in Lubbock, and she also is in school getting her masters, AND she’s in the Goin’ Band at Texas Tech. Think she can squeeze anything else into her crazy life??

The answer is yes. They found time for a mini-session :)

These two have quite a love story.  Krystal and Mitch are some of the few that can say they have known their soul mate since elementary school. Cuh-razy!!

It was way fun seeing these two so in love. Here are some favorites from our chilly, yet awesome, session.

While I was in Fort Worth for Thanksgiving, I did a sweet engagement session with my cousin and her fiance. Ashley and I go way back (obviously), and I got a kick out of getting to see her SO in love with this Jeff fella.  I’m still in the getting-to-know-my-future-cousin stage, but I can already see that he will love my cousin like crazy for the rest of their lives. I most definitely approve :)

They’re getting married July 3 at Bass Hall in downtown Fort Worth, and I can hardly wait for it!

Here are the lovely Blalocks. Stuart of Studio 84 tends to show up at a lot of the weddings I shoot :) He does video and is AWESOME at it, and it’s always a super bonus when Alison comes along too.
