I’ve taken pictures of this precious family since before little miss Lorelei was born. I’ve LOVED watching her grow up during her first year! They recently moved to Dallas, so while I was there for the weekend, we squeezed in a session.
Here she is as a newborn. So sweet.

And here she is today!

When I think back to when I left Lubbock last Wednesday, it seems like a looooong time ago. A lot happened since then! A few sessions, some great family time, quality time with old friends, and a beautiful wedding.
Here are some sneak peeks from our sessions… First off, the Jones’. These two were a hoot.

The Patterson’s. I’ve been taking pictures of this little cutie since she was in her momma’s tummy.

And last but not least, Taylor. My first 2011 senior!

It’s amazing to me how much babies grow and change and learn in the first year of their lives. And it’s even more amazing when parents choose me to be the one to capture that first year. I begin to feel so connected and so much a part of something so so so awesome. And then the family tells me that they’re up and moving and I feel like I’m being cheated on…. Haha I’m kidding. But really… Sad day!!!
Yes, the Patterson’s are up and moving to Dallas. But don’t worry, we already have our 9 month session scheduled :)
You might remember Lorelei’s sweet newborn session. Then her three month session. And now onto her sixth month session!

love it!

such an angelic little face

ummm baby model?

this was such a sweet moment… they were all just looking at each other for the longest time. just studying each other. and this was right when lorelei looked away grinning.

This family is super awesome. They were a big part of Redeemer when they lived in here in Lubbock, and now Will is getting his MBA at Harvard… no big deal ;)
They were visiting over the Holidays, so we threw together a mini-session. I gotta admit, I always feel a bit limited when shooting indoors, but the sweet folks at The Watson Building let us use their facilities, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! It’s simple and beautiful and the light was just gawwwgeous.
Anyhow, here are some of my favorites from our session that took place right before their birthday parties (hence the 1 and 3 shirts!)

hi-larious!

some sweet father/daughter time

Ty and I go back to my Starbucks days. She was a fellow barista, and she spilled many a frappuccino on my shoe :)
I kid I kid, but really, we had some good times, and I’m glad we’ve kept in touch since I’ve stopped working there. If anyone out there goes to Ty’s Starbucks, I’m sure you’ve been graced with her lovely presence, and you’ve probably been told some hilarious stories as well.
Anyhow, her family was all in town over Christmas, so we did the quickest session known to man. It’s not every day your whole fam comes to Lubbock!
All the kiddos

love this one

the aftermath of a jumping shot… love their reactions!

aaaand this one made my heart melt.

I know Erin through the wonderful world of Starbucks. She’s the manager of one of the stores here in Lubbock, and she also is in school getting her masters, AND she’s in the Goin’ Band at Texas Tech. Think she can squeeze anything else into her crazy life??
The answer is yes. They found time for a mini-session :)

Ahhh, the Copeland family. Where to begin with these guys. I was a youth intern while Juju Bean and Trevor were in high school, I had the HONOR of getting to live with this family the summer before Jordan and I got married, and I even got to be Pam’s assistant in the Children’s ministry. So yes, many ties with this amazing family.

Trevor, Julia, Abby

SO FUN!

ahhh so in love

quite possibly my most favorite picture.

This is another sweet family from our church, Redeemer. It’s been fun getting to know these folks, along with their precious Molly!
Is this not the cutest face you’ve ever seen?

I laughed outloud at this one for a while… LOVE Molly’s smile!!

You might remember this sweet thang from her newborn session.
