I know Mary because of photography.
She contacted me, we talked photography, and the rest is history! She’s a freshman at ACU and is one of the most young, driven photographers I know. It was an honor and a joy to take her belated senior pictures :)
Thanks for being an inspiration to many, miss Mary.

free as a bird :)

favorites!

Oh, sweet Austin.
I remember when he was a pesky little junior high kiddo :) I can say that only because I was his youth intern who had to put up with his shananigans. But in all honesty, he was a joy to be around even when he was the kid tapping me on the shoulder and then trying to hide and make me look the opposite way. Who am I kidding? I even do that.
Anyhow, it’s been so so so cool to see how much Austin has grown to love God more and more each day. My heart was so encouraged after hearing Austin talk so passionately about the great things the Lord has done in his heart. SO COOL. Then, of course, his ADD would kick in and he would try to throw rocks at birds or something… Haha we laughed a lot.
Here he is, folks.

let me end with something a little special… I will TRY to paint this lovely picture for you all. So, Austin and I are finishing up our session and headed South on University. I thought I was imagining things when I saw four horses up ahead on the side of the road, but as we got closer, my vision proved to be in fact true. There were four dudes riding their horses, trying to cross University. And I think it’s important to know that this is basically a residential area. I’ll stop typing and go ahead and let the picture speak for itself, but I’m confident in saying that seeing these four guys taking their horses on a stroll made our days. Thanks, random dudes.

So here’s the deal.
If you’re a senior (in high school), and you haven’t booked a senior session yet, DO IT NOW.
Why, you ask? If you book your session within the next two weeks, 50% of your session fee will go directly towards Haiti relief work.
FIFTY PERCENT!
You have now until February 5th, so don’t hesitate to e-mail me at brittanystrebeck@gmail.com
Here are some samples of graduation announcements for 2010.

Even though it feels nothing like Spring, it is most definitely “spring” semester. Which means a lot of peeps are graduating so soon!
One of them being sweet miss Makenzie. This session was a perfect start to the new year, and got me so exciting for other senior sessions coming up.
Thanks, Makenzie (and her sweet mother!) for filling our session with great conversation, lots of giggles, and a supermodel :)

girl you are beeaauuutiful!

here’s how this one came about:
makenzie: i just think it would be really cool to sit in the back of a limo or something
me: okay…. let’s go ask!
and badda bing, White Knights Limousine hooked us up bigtime.

Senior in college, that is. Yep, she’s graduating from Texas Tech this weekend, and I can hardly believe it’s already here!
Courtney’s name might sound a bit familiar to some of you blogsters, because she is not only the best second shooter ever, but she now has a photography business of her own. She has such a natural talent in taking beautiful photos, and working with people, and let’s face it… just working it in general. Here. See for yourself.

FIERCE!

seriously, court? are you SURE you want to be on the other side of the camera for a living??

this is what happens when you never take props out of your car.

KA-CHOW!

Something crazy has happened. I’ve officially had more boy 2010 seniors than girls… WHAT! Could this possibly mean that these strapping young men have been on top of their game? I am impressed. Now girls, let’s see what you got! (I think the battle of the sexes just came out in me… surely I wouldn’t make something like THIS a competition, right?)
Anyhow, blogworld, meet Tucker.

Senior pictures are usually a little painful for guys. I’m used to it. I’ve had the conversation with the mom saying something like, “He’s only doing this for me and gosh I hope you can make him smile and he really doesn’t want to do this and hopefully he won’t look too miserable…” and on and on it goes.
Well, not that I’m calling Robert out or anything :) but maybe taking pictures isn’t one of his favorite pastimes, but he was awesome! We had a really good time, and I’m pretty sure he would say it wasn’t as awful as he thought it was going to be. Haha.
So for you too-cool-for-school guys out there, be nice to your mother and let me take your picture :)

Alison graduates from Texas Tech in December and she graced Lubbock with her beautiful presence yesterday! She REALLY rocked her session. I mean, really. See for yourself.
But first, I want to share a little something we talked about. We were saying how funny it is that high school senior pictures seem so much more important than college senior pictures, but why? You’re graduating from COLLEGE, for crying out loud! And making your way into the “real world!” And one thing Alison said was, “It’s not like in five years I’m going to have an excuse to randomly go get pictures taken of myself, so it just made sense to do them now.”
So, with that, I say to my college graduates out there… Let me take pictures of your beautiful self! It’s an exciting time in life, and your family wants your face on their fridge. :)

love love love this one!

That’s right, 2010 seniors. This girl is thinking ahead and I LOVE IT!! It’s never too early to call for senior photos!

i think this is what we would call FIERCE!!
