It’s basically killing me that I have had a wedding and engagement session and I haven’t shared ANYTHING yet! I’m not used to being out of town for so long.
Anyhow, just a couple more days of being gone, but here are a couple of photos to share.

Ashley was BY FAR the calmest bride ever! I guess it’s expected that little things might go wrong on your wedding day, but she let one thing after another fall right off her sleeve, and she continued to enjoy her special day.
Brandon was going to play a trick on me and have me thinking that the groom was lost and no one could find him… His plan fell through, but I still thought it was pretty funny. It was so much fun watching these two fun-loving peeps welcome their wedding day, completely relaxed and with a sense of humor.

Ashley and Brandon got married this weekend in Midland and I can’t wait to show you blogsters some eye candy from their wedding.
But for now, I’m just going to go ahead and showcase the beautiful bride.
Ahhh Spirit Ranch. I do believe it’s just one of the most beautiful places in Lubbock. I mean maybe I’m a little biased, since that’s where Jordan and I got married and all… but still :)
You blogsters might remember Abby and Jon from their engagement session. I think we knew we had a connection when we talked about chacos for a good five minutes. But really, it was so fun getting to hear all about wedding plans and visions and details during their engagement session, and getting to see it all play out Saturday. It was beautiful! Abby is so creative and had the funnest ideas, and Jon had so many thoughtful touches that really made the day special. And the music. The music was WAY fun. Any ceremony that includes a song from Juno is off to a good start.

I’m not much of a city girl. And I don’t think I would have ever labeled myself as “not a city girl” until this past weekend. But even through all the traffic and crazy roads and whatnot, it felt good to conquer it and show it who’s boss… like a boss.
It was SO worth it though. Jasmine and Wes’ wedding was so beautiful and everyone was just so happy to be there celebrating with people they love. And I love how Jasmine and Wes were really thinking about their guests (and their photographer) when they scheduled their wedding at 2 p.m., so we’d be out in time to go watch the Tech/UT game :)

This wedding was such an enjoyable thing to be a part of. Everyone who was a part of this day was laid-back and hilarious and that made for an awesome combination.
I know this might sound a little weird, but I realized during this wedding that I love becoming a tiny tiny part of a couple’s love story. This fact dawned on me right after Julie and Nick saw each other for the first time. Julie’s mom was peeking through the door, trying to get a glimpse of what was going on, and she told me all she could see was me wiping tears off my face. Haha yes, I got caught. A wedding is just such an amazing thing to be a part of, and I am honored over and over again that I get to play a small role in it.

The day was beautiful. Definitely a summer day in August, but not too terribly hot :) And what’s even cooler (literally) is that right as Mary Helen’s dad walked her down the aisle, a cloud moved between us and the sun and it was nice and shady until the second the wedding was over. I love when stuff like that happens!
This wedding was truly a celebration for everyone – both Mary Helen and Timothy’s families have been friends for FOREVER, and I could tell that really becoming family was a pretty sweet reality for all of them.
